Love It!!

I used to go here every Wednesday for lunch with my mother-in-law, and I still would if eating out was still in my budget. We love the Onion Loaf and Conch Fritters as appetizers, and I would always get the Fried Fish Basket. For $8.95, its the best priced fish basket Ive been able to find. Everywhere else, its $12.95 or higher for the same amount of food. And the fish is ALWAYS fresh and cooked well. The servers are very experienced and Ive never had to ask for a refill on my drink.

I happened to meet a health inspector that checks out all the kitchens of the restaurants in the Keys, and she said that Hobo's kitchen was the cleanest in the Upper Keys!!!

The many cars in the parking lot was a dead giveaway that this is a popular Key Largo dining destination. The fresh fish entrees were delicious, and portions very generous, which made the reasonable prices all the more attractive. Service was very friendly. This is a great place for locals and tourists alike, very homey, friendly and delicious.

I have been to Hobo's too many times to count now. It is a long way to travel to go scuba diving, but Hobo's makes the trip so much better every time. The Managers and the staff are fantastic and the food is amazing. This place should be in every culinary magazine in the nation. NOTHING BEATS THEIR FISH SANDWICH, and I mean nothing!
